#1 This is a really sad one: Ms. Perhamus and Mrs. Emmert are leaving New Orleans. Ms. P and Mrs. Emmert have been our leaders for a long time, and we are all going to miss them a lot.Ms. Kina Lee, currently the Assistant Principal at The NET:Gentilly will be our new principal at NOAH. Ms. Kina has been a teacher, dean, and leader at several schools in New Orleans and has done amazing work at EQA so we know she will be a great leader for NOAH. #2 This is a really exciting one: We are moving NOAH’s location to New Orleans East! We know that many, many of our students live in New Orleans East and traveling to Laurel St. is a big challenge. So we have found a new home at Gaudet: 12000 Hayne Blvd., starting August 2022. This campus has a gym, and space to build new supports like a nursery, housing, and after school enrichment programs. What does this mean for ME? We want everyone to continue with us at our new campus! But if you don’t live in the East and would prefer to transfer to The NET:Central City or The NET:Gentilly, we will help you do that. Either way, we will make sure you stay on track with your graduation plan. How do I learn more? Student & Family meetings will be held: Thursday, March 31st 6pm (virtual); Friday, April 1st 10am (in person) and 3:30pm (virtual) Nothing is changing for this year or this summer! Both these changes will start August 2022.
